So, I started this blog this summer... work is always slower in the summer, so blogging sounded like a good idea! Well even though it still feels like summer outside, it is now officially fall- i'm a little behind. :)
I titled my blog- "Life is a highway" because 1. I used this as a quote my Senior year for the yearbook. Why? I don't know and 2. I travel A LOT for work. Nowhere really exciting and fun- but there are usually always some good stories.
I once was traveling in Southwest Missouri (in the middle of nothing) almost out of gas (like always) and the only gas station I could find was somthing you would have seen out of the Andy Griffith show. Old gas pumps, no pay at the pump, and the gas station had a porch with a little old man in overalls sitting in a rocking chair. He came over, started pumping my gas, and asked where I was from. I told him I worked for SEMO and I was out there visiting high schools. He then asked how I liked driving on their curvey roads... I told him they weren't too bad and that its hilly and curvey where i'm from. He then said, "Yep, our roads are like Missouri women- curvey and if you don't pay attention to them, they will kill ya!" My all time favorite quote thus far!
I have been in the office all this week, so nothing too exciting. But we did get Ice cream from Andy's!! Very Yummy! Next week I will be heading to Murray Ky and Nashville!
